Following the unexpectedly sudden and sad death of a member of their team, the Channel Islands were unable to complete part of the tournament with a valid team, and they were only able to continue by borrowing players from other counties. Therefore their wins did not all qualify, and as a consequence they were relegated to Division 2 for 2019, and Sussex remained in Division 1.
