36th Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of the E.A.C.F. was
held at 7:30pm on Wednesday 23rd February 2022 by video conference call (Zoom details sent by email
to club secretaries).
AGM by year:
Apologies for absence.
To approve the Minutes of the previous meeting held (Virtually) by Zoom on 29th March
To receive the Secretary's report.
To receive the Treasurer's report and to approve
the Statement of Accounts for the year ending 31st December 2021.
To determine the Annual Subscriptions for the year ending 31st December 2023.
To receive The Development & Equipment Officers Report.
To receive The Soham Indoors Carpet Organiser Report.
To receive The Webmasters report.
To elect the Officers to the Executive Committee for the forthcoming year:
Chairman - Geoff Johnson (also GC Leagues).
Secretary - vacant.
Treasurer - Arthur Reed.
To elect members to the Executive Committee for the forthcoming year:
Jonathan Toye (Development & Equipment).
Paul Hetherington (Indoors Carpet).
Simon Hathrell (Webmaster).
George Collin (Safeguarding).
Terrey Sparks (AC leagues and Tournaments).
C.A. representatives appointments: ex-officio George Collin.
One position vacant, to be filled by an election conducted by the C.A.
All nominations for Officers and Committee Members must be submitted in writing (by e-mail
or letter) and received by the Secretary by Saturday 20th February 2022. Nominations can only
be made by an Officer of a full member club and the agreement of the nominee which must be
obtained prior to nomination.
Appointment of The Examiner: John Noble has agreed to continue in this role for the
To review the current situation in respect to the forthcoming proposed summer
season's Programme of events / leagues / tournaments.
Any Other Business: - It would be helpful if any proposed business was submitted in writing
(by email or letter) to the Secretary by Saturday 20th February 2022.
Immediately after the AGM closes, estimated at around 20.45 - 21.00 hrs, Simon Hathrell (Watford) will
give a short presentation on options for a club's legal structure, the pros and cons,
and Watford's own recent experience of converting the club into a CIO (Charitable
Incorporated Organisation). All club members are invited to log-in or stay on after the AGM for this.
