The EACF Golf Croquet 'B' Level
Singles Tournament was held at Ipswich on Sunday 25th July.

Two late withdrawals left the event with six entrants. However this turned out to a very enjoyable day - easy for me to manage as it was a simple all play all, and enjoyable for the players who had an enjoyable day being able to play at leisure and relax during rounds. The play was to a very commendable standard with close games in several matches particularly Mike Percival v Paul Strover, Mike winning 7-6, and Paul Strover v John Skuse, John winning 6-5 on time. Mike Percival was the clear winner with 5 wins out of 5 and was presented with a nice bottle of wine. Equal runners up with 3 wins each were Paul Strover and David Crawford. Happily for me as manager everyone felt that they had had a good day's entertainment.
